The year ahead

Happy New Year to you all! Well, 2011 was a busy year for CFS Events – two new staff members, an office move, a baby, a puppy….not to mention a packed calendar of events.

And we’ve got a lot to look forward to in 2012. As well as the long established events such as Reason and BCCA, we have some new and exciting projects on the horizon. Keep in touch with what’s going on by visiting our website www.cfsevents.co.uk

As for New Year’s Resolutions, a quick straw poll of the office has revealed some interesting goals; Little John wants to brew his own beer; Wendy has become a bit of a gym addict and is hoping to power walk her way through the next 12 months; Katie is hoping to give up cheese (but has admitted defeat already); and Rob is looking for more direction in his life……………we’ve given him a compass.

We wish all our clients and colleagues a very happy and successful 2012.

From neonatal study days to the Clinicopathological conference – there’s a wide variety of educational meetings on offer. CFS moves into new office!!!

After months of hard work renovating the building, Cathy and John cut the ribbon to mark the grand opening of our lovely new office this month.

The grade two listed building and former farmhouse has been transformed into a light and airy working space.

Our new address is Unit E, Mindenhall Court, 17 High Street, Stevenage SG1 3UN

The puppy has landed

The day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. No, not pay day. It’s the day Cathy collected Ruby, the gorgeous red setter puppy (July 10)!

Ruby had a hectic schedule on Sunday, meeting lots of people, receiving cuddles and exploring her new surroundings. Following her fist injection and a swift visit to the office, Ruby is spending the day chilling out at home today. We are all looking forward to her coming in with Cathy for a full day’s work/sleep/chew very soon.

Anyone wishing to visit the office over the next few weeks is advised to bring treats (for the dog and the team!)

Happy Birthday Cathy

Family and friends joined the CFS team to celebrate Cathy’s birthday recently (June 28). Balloons, cake and edible glitter were essential ingredients in helping to wish Cathy a very Happy Birthday!

Puppy love!

The CFS team is getting more than a little excited about the prospect of a new team member next month.

Ruby, a gorgeous red setter puppy, will be joining the team in just a few weeks’ time. Her main duties will be providing constant cuddles and taking us out for walks at lunch time! Cathy and John are counting down the days until their new arrival and the rest of the office can’t wait to welcome Ruby to the team.

Well done Rob for successfully completing the London to Paris cycle challenge in aid of the U Foundation. Worst bit – day two! Best bit – meeting new friends and the amazing support from onlookers as they entered Paris.

We all wish Rob the very best of luck this week ( June 1) as he sets off on his bike to cycle the 320 miles from London to Paris in aid of The U Foundation.

Rob is raising money for the charity in Zambia, which provides small communities with the ability to farm, drink clean water and educate their children.

Rob’s been training hard and has received lots of helpful tips from the CFS team on how to prevent chaffing! He sets off from Greenwich in the early hours of the morning (Wednesday) and hopes to arrive in Paris on Saturday.

Congratulations to Jennie on her new arrival!

The team at CFS Events would like to congratulate Jennie on the birth of her baby boy. Jake was born a week early on 1^st April, weighing 6lbs 8oz.

Jake made his first trip to the CFS Events’ office this week where he received lots of attention and cuddles. Jennie is feeling well and enjoying motherhood, but misses the CFS team.
